Irreversible Mistakes
Rage is like eyeliner,
It can be new,
It can be scary,
But you’ll get used to it.
Right?
You think that with each experience you’ll gain more control.
You’ll be able to pull it off.
You’ll be okay with it.
That never happens.
With each attempted stroke there’s a chance that it won’t be okay anymore,
One bad stroke and you’ll have to start over.
ONE BAD STROKE
and you won’t have a shoulder to lean on
ONE BAD STROKE
and there will be sleepless nights
ONE BAD STROKE
and there will be tear stains on the sheets
it just takes one mistake
and nothing can be recovered.
An unsteady hand,
And an angry comment.

I hope that people will be able to read this poem and know that they are not alone in their concerns and fear to vocalize how they feel. We ften feel like being truthful will push people away so hopefully the ones who read this poem will finally get the courage to be honest.
