clementine
When i am not myself i feel green
Peel back my laters when you hold me
Fleshy on the outside mushy on the inside
Let the juices flow from my fruit.
Look me on the surface and see my scratches
How they reflect from the oil of my skin
If you push me hard enough the further
You'll crush me within
Focus and listen as you break my surface
My outer casings become undone
Perceive me inward as you would from my image
Pick at my meat on the line
My aroma is as strong as i am tangy
I can't help my pheromone from attraction
Consume me like it is your intent
Pull my strings if you think it makes scent
Taste the wedges you tore from me
Drain me from the fluids i held inside
Chew my guts and savor them well
Does an orange taste as bitter as it smells?
