An Ode to Cat
The one who was so aptly named,
For which he is so famed.
His great big eyes are a sight to behold,
With a splash of gray all the more bold.
A ball of energy in the night,
A force of nature in white.
At the crack of dawn,
Ready to attack as Satan’s spawn
A slumbering child in the day,
A creature of peace in full display,
A comfort in the worst of moments,
I invite all of his encroachments.
Eager to devour his kibble,
It will not go down in a nibble
With an enthusiasm uncontrolled
As his ancestors had foretold.
