Professional Cuddling
Flipping through cash, I set a large portion aside.
Feeling almost reluctant to seemingly waste so much
for a woman I hardly know.
..I never understood the pleasure people gained by
simply holding tightly on obscure strangers.
Not until I met her.
Her warmth, her lavender scent, her gentle embrace.
For hours we would stay still, huddled in our own
little world.
Nearly suffocating underneath her layered blankets.
Encased within a steady dull heat.
There I lay..
Enveloped, enraptured, captivated.
Dearly smitten with the mere idea of being close to
another.
A part of me felt ashamed, guilty for craving
intimacy from an outsider.
But time after time I found my way back to her,
drowning in the guilty pleasure of love from a perfect foreign strange.
Ensnared in her delicate traces of beauty.
And after each session I ambled home,
The ache in my heart a little less prominent.. and
my wallet a little more empty.

I liked the idea of someone being reluctant to try something new, but once they do try it- they become obsessed. Almost like they cant help but be drawn to it.
I was looking for odd jobs to write about, and i found professional cuddling! I was instantly interested, and while I learned more about this job i knew i had to write about it.
I hope that you can see bits and pieces of yourself in this poem - or, in this person.
