This place

Usually full of life,

Filled with dancing women,

Bright with togetherness.

Now dark,

Cold and Waiting.

My feet feel the glossy

wooden floor beneath them

As I walk to the center of the gym

The loud and also quiet music buzzes.

It's my favorite song.

Silence.

Bliss.

I start moving,

body expressing itself from the inside out.

My arms outstretch,

Reaching,

I roll to the ground.

The hard floor bites at my already bruised knee.

It's a good feeling.

A pain that comes from hard work.

My heart is full,

This is where I belong.
