The Feeling of Sadness
Sadness looks like an
old man walking his last
step on this earth with no one
to leave behind.
Sadness smells like
a dying red rose with
a scent of polution coming
from a big filthy city.
Sadness sounds like
whimpers from a beautiful dog
asking for help without anyone listening.
Sadness tastes like
your favorite cereal after
waiting the whole day to have it
just to find out there’s no milk.
Sadness feels like
a bullet to the chest
with no way to fix or stop
bleeding endlessly for the rest of time.

My name is Jonathan, I am currently an 8th grader in Meyerland Performance and Visual Arts Middle School. I was born and raised in this city; I will continue to live and thrive in this city unless my path of a poet or programmer change. I like to play baseball, listen to music, and write my thoughts down. I'm not a relatively smart student but I always make sure to get A's.
