The Cage
The wind swept through the house
the windows being the only thing that made noise and
the creaks tiptoed in the house
She felt empty almost
The house was empty too
her bed was like a cage
it kept her there day in and day out
The sun was out but it wasn´t noticed
it wasn´t noticed
not because of the windows or shades or curtains
but it was by the darkness that overflowed inside of her
She hoped that someday someone would be her sun
a person to be her light and
help escape out of the cage shes been in for years
She hoped to be loved and to be admired
but deep down she knew that couldn´t happen
not unless she was the one to be her own light
her own savior
