Sprinter
Runners on your marks, set, BANG.
The adrenaline roars through my veins.
Cheers, screams, and claps fill the stands.
But it is only silence that fills my ears.
My mind draws blank.
The only sight I see
is the red track in front of me.
The finish line draws close
As I push with everything
I have within me.
First place.
Victory washes over me.
My bright expression glistens to
everyone in the stands that
the bright blue ribbon
belongs to me.
