The Last Final Year Is Most Revealing
I am no longer from an apartment, I am from a childhood house that has become my home.
From forever 21 and pink and hot topics to
I am from hot summers to go places for cooling.
I am from my mom and not from a dad,
a girl's day out is always the best.
I am from my annoying older sister
She tells me what to watch next.
I am from cooking at my aunt’s house,
lasagna and baked goods,
hanging out with my cousins
They are getting better at tackling me.
I am from good friends with
always going out outside,
to hanging inside
Have fun being random.

This is a more true "where I am" poem compared to the one I wrote in elementary school. My old poem was more of things that would look better by hiding my life under a facade. I would change my words around to what I thought were the best fits for a "where I am poem". Now looking back I realized I do not have to hid, at the end of the day everyone is the same, a family.
