Lost
Feeling lost is the black of
A large
Lightless
Room
that makes you want to
Curl up
On the floor and wish
For light
Or walls
Just something
Feeling lost is
the deafening sound of silence
In the back room
That is slowly occupied
By the loud ringing in your ears
As the silence draws on
For too long
It’s calling for help
Hearing your voice echo
Off of the walls you can’t seem to reach
But no one answering
Leaving you to
Struggle
Feeling lost
Tastes of metallic blood
After having bit
The inside of your lip
Raw
As you walk
Endlessly
In the darkness
Feeling lost
Smells of something
Familiar
A familiar you can’t seem to place
A familiar you don’t know how to describe
Coming from somewhere
In the corner that you can’t find
Like reaching out for something
Something that looks
Within reach
But every time you reach
Your fingers grasp at
Nothing
Nothing but air
They always come back
Empty
Unable to find anything
In the darkness
It’s like the rapid breathing and
The quickening beat of your heart
At its ever quickening pace
Feeling lost
Leaves you fumbling in the
Dark
The dark that laughs
As you cry out
Desperate for
A way out
It's the slow
loss of hope
When nothing is found
As time
