The Shadow Behind Me

There is a shadow behind me and it belongs to someone. Wherever you go it follows you, but sometimes it doesn't. It laughs at you without making a sound. It cries without you ever knowing. When you sleep it tries to wake you up. There is a shadow behind me and it is manipulating me. It’s presence alone makes my eyes bleed out black tears. One of these days you are going to face it head on and let it escape you. Or you won’t. One of these days you're going to be free. Or you won’t.
