I drink comfort, slurp satisfaction

My body radiates invigorating warmth

Rich spices together

Synergized in slow brewed broth

Hand stretched egg noodles

Made the old loving way with tradition

I can taste the caring hard work

a meal done right

Potatoes, carrots, scallions

Evoke a past autumn harvest

Slow stewed hearty beef

Makes for red chili burps

My chopsticks lift the noodles

Out of the golden soup, my tongue

Savors the flavors, warmth

Seeping through bone into soul
