Across a dying day

Amity Wittmeyer

Across a dying day

The sun alone in its solidarity

Where fishes melt in tranquility

And the birds discuss in harmony

While the grasses stretch in unity

As the breezes kiss peacefully

I know you will wistfully

   wait

           for

                   me
