The City Of Horror
How can one live
with those horrible cries
the ones that tear apart peaceful night skies.
How can one lay and sleep
while the people scream of hopes and dreams,
they dream of a feast like an animal or beast.
They’ve all been deprived for so long
so now they cause madness that can't be solved,
they bring a sadness over the whole town
These people have a want but no need
they sit and beg from their knees,
in their attempt to take over the streets.
Ever since that day, the day they all came
they came on a train from far far away,
now I wonder if they'll ever go away.
I try to see these people for who they are
But i still wonder why they've come so far,
They have love but its been ripped like a tear or a scar.
This town is one of those places
No one comes and no one leaves, and sadness rains down on people like fall leaves
The gods promise one day everything will change, but for now it all stays the same.
