The Field
The field was beautiful
The way the sunlight reflected off the bleachers,
So blinding yet so beautiful
Turf flying up in the air,
Sprinkling down like confetti
Watching the sunset as the game begins,
But its been years since then
Now that I walk the field now
It seems so empty and depressing
Now that the game is done now

I value the simple ideas in life, family, work to provide and going to church every sunday. I chose to write this poem because football was a major part of my life. It helped me through my dark times and helped me become the man I am today. By giving me the values of being on a team and the values of brotherhood with others. From the very first time of stepping on the field to the last time I knew it was something special and that I loved every moment of it. Every practice, every team workout, just the whole experience.
