Never shall I forget

The special day

The most magical night 

That only comes once a year

Never shall I forget the joy in the air

When family comes together

To spread Christmas cheer

With their loved ones 

When school has ceased

And student’s are released 

To enjoy time with friends and family

Never shall I forget the neighborhoods

All sparkling in red and green

From roofs to lawns 

To even beautiful wreaths on the front doors

Never shall I forget these things

From the smell of cookies in the air 

To the fluffy snow falling from the sky

Never shall I forget my Christmas tree

With its colorful bulbs 

And the shiny golden star on top
