Every day is like a chapter book. When the Day ends, the next paper is turned.

The sound of a train

Coming through the town

You can hear the horn of the train

You can hear the engineers talking on the radio

You can see the light of the train

See the Light on the Tracks

The Crossing Lights start flashing

You can see the Colorful engines

You can touch the tracks

The Crossing with the Big Lights

The Depot in the Town

But don’t touch the train when it’s moving

The smell of diesel fuel

The smoke coming out of the engine

The Wood that the Train is taking

Sometimes, the Dangerous Chemicals

You can’t eat a locomotive

You can’t eat a train car

You can’t eat the tracks

But You can lick the tracks
