On The Floor of the Forest
Lush mossy hair tangles with tiny pebbles that filter strong roots of secrets
Umber oak and flower seeds crowding the ground
Like the aftermath of a party
Small red seeds like freckles sprouting into lush red flowers yearning for sunshine
Craving the great tears of the earth
Streams flow like warm flooding tears
Their weeping can be heard through hundreds of thick tall trees
If you can find a spot on the forest floor where the pebbles will hold your will hold your head
And rich green moss will tangle in your hair
Maybe you will find a streak of raw sky
And when the sun falls and no longer reflects on the face of young creeks
Maybe you will see my face in the sky

Nature has always spoken to me. I love connecting the beauty of the natural world to human features. I think it's important for todays youth to learn to admire nature's sheer elegance so we can learn to protect it and all of its inhabitants.
