you repulse me
your laugh and
face I used to dream
ruining songs
the person I used to be
gone with the words
flowing
through
voids
repeated in turn
mask on, off,
faceless
dreamless in space and
taciturn;
hole through a heart
lifeless
flightless
mirthless
gap-toothed smile
running red and from the sea,
from you,
(waves on the mind)
from you,
(call me later? call declined)
and the person I would never be.
