I am Autistic and Special

I wonder if there could be peace between all who are treated differently

I hear “try harder”, and “you can do better everyday”

I see confusion and mistreatment to people like me

I want to be understood

I am Autistic and Special

I pretend That I am a genius that can solve any issue big or small

I feel that I will always be looked at like I’m an alien from another planet

I touch a possibility that can never come true

I worry that I may never have a friend that can help me with my troubles

I cry for the pain of people who are different and therefore are treated differently

I am Autistic and Special

I understand that life is rough

I say that people who are different should not be treated as such

I dream of a world where people who are different in how they look, act, or speak, can be treated the same as everybody else

I try to not worry about my future

I hope that someday we’ll be understood for who we are
