The memory of you
I look through my memories a lot
And I always search for you
Because I know that’s when I was happiest
My smile lit up the room
Butterflies in my stomach
The biggest pep in my step
I was happiest when I was with you
But now all I feel
The wetness of tears spilt onto my pillowcase
The bags underneath my eyes
A foggy ness in my brain
Intoxication on the weekends
Meaningless hookups
With a strong drive for attention
that will never be from you.
