I remember playing cards 

Looking outside seeing the sunset over the lake 

I remember 4th of july parties 

90+ degrees and sunny

The beautiful lake

I remember seeing him always chewing on a cigar

Playing football with my friends in the water 

Playing baseball on the grass hitting bombs over the 3 big trees that divides our yard with the neighbors

The smell of burgers and hot dogs for dinner

The smell of warm soft pretzels from dexter bakery 

I ask myself

Could this get any better?

Watching the sun go down and getting ready for the fireworks

The firework show is always good

Blankets covering the grass for the kids to sit and watch 

Putting the dog inside so it doesn't freak out

After the fireworks a lot of people leave

But we stay there for the weekend
