She looks as broken as the society
Society as broken as her
Society likes to say that “scars show victory.”
I agree
They did
They show how societies words won over the beauty of her mind.
Their ugly remarks now mark her beautiful tender, soft skin
As she sits with blood running down her arms
Just as red as the color that comes to mind when you think of anger
Anger fills her mind as the blood fills her hands.
She did not inflict this upon herself.
Society did
