Banshee
Screams and shouts
Like that of a banshee.
Tell, do tell, of the banshees screams.
The banshee lashes
And bashes.
Her eyes are dark and
Soul tainted.
She whispers secrets in your ears,
Ensures you know you’re less.
The banshee will hurt you from the
Inside out.
But you tell no one.
No one can know of the banshee,
Or her secret identity.
The one time you asked Mom-
If she knew the banshee,
She looked at you as if you had two heads.
The banshee found out you told,
And you paid. She continued, for years,
“You belong dead,” “You shouldn’t even be here.”
Her abusive words will haunt you.
They stick,
Thats why, even though the
Banshee is gone, her
Ghost remains.
