Summer Evenings
The sun fades
To orange sapphires
To yellow diamonds
To red rubies
To blue topaz
As families
dock their boats
After a smooth cruise
on the water
The breeze
Gets cooler and cooler
It pierces my face
With its chill
The sun
Disappears
More and more
Like a ghost in the night
The water
Gets chillier
The waves
Get choppier
The flags
Flap in the wind
Louder and louder
Over and over again
Dusk through dawn
