Advice from a Giraffe
When life lowers your pride, keep your head poised high.
Aim for the brightest stars even if you can only reach dull leaves.
Don’t get your blue tongue too twisted; and avoid prickly thorns,
which reside on branches to puncture plans and spirits.
Eat your greens; you know they’re good for you.
Every spot on your body is unique and special,
so stand tall and be assured.
Tower and roam your ground with grace
and do not be so fearful of the things around you.
Running away does not solve timidity.
Listen to the whisper of nature.
It could lead you to your greatest destiny
or caution you of your worst predator.
Hear the voices that may be drowned out from below you.
Be bold and stick your neck out sometimes.
If you’re stressed, take a rest.
Anywhere works if you’re willing to stand.
If another giraffe has a knot in its neck,
be sweet.
Not everyone has three hearts.

I have an absolute love for animals and sometimes hearing words of advice from others can be hard to follow or accept. So rather than struggling to listen because of nervousness and fear of judgment from humans, listen to a giraffe! They have some great ideas to teach!
