To tell the girl I used to be/Senior Year
New backpack, new shoes, new clothes.
The first year is always the scariest.
You watch the years pass.
Why do they go by so fast?
Diploma, cap, and gown.
Wasn’t I a freshman just yesterday?
Laughter, Screams and Tears
What could I do just to go back four years…?
To tell the girl I used to be:
That things may be hard, but you must keep your head up.
To tell the girl I used to be:
That it’s okay to be scared, you’ll like it eventually.
To tell the girl I used to be:
Be yourself, live in the moment
Because the next thing you know…
All those moments won’t be so slow.
Because the next thing you know
You’ll be standing on stage with your diploma in one hand,
And your cap in the other.
And your future standing right in front of you.
Only if I could tell the girl I used to be…
