Ego

October 2, 2021

Spiders or snakes cannot compare,

to my fear that does not spare,

A hidden volcano ‘bout to flare,

blood to lava, a moment so rare.

Inside me, something vicious I bare,

you see it now, believe me, I dare,

It’s too late when it’s out there,

stay around and I promise a scare.

It feels like my veins start to tear,

thinking I’m mad, people stare,

But in my head, I do not prepare,

for the destruction of the volcano flare.

An innocent girl with an ego so rare,

she looks up for help - but sees nowhere,

To go, to seek, no one to care,

so she holds it in, the future, unaware.
