“The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater his success, his influence, his power for good. Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom.” – James Allen

To my very perfect friend
Who I thought would be there till the end
Having someone to stand by
Is nothing but life’s lie

A fleeting thought
That kindness can be bought
Through kindness; ‘Twas but a joke
Now what’s left is a fleeting thought

That love can’t be forgotten
Only lead his soul rotten
To the one who hurt him the most
I now raise this toast:

To all the hate that was given
In place of the love that was taken
For all the affection that was shown
Only to be treated as unknown

For the pain and suffering
That he had been offering
To help with the so called problem
You were given an emblem

An emblem of hope and solution
Traded for nothing but pollution
Ah, the pollution of the soul
Which no human can control

If only He saw
How ungrateful and raw
He wouldn’t have ended
In a state so offended

But oh how the tables have turned
So he can decide who gets churned
But he wasn’t furious
And it made you curious

Because you know what you had done
And what you should have deserved
But he is being reserved
Just so he can see you burn

To see your heart ache
At the thought of being served a cake
He realized he had made a mistake
He had become the very thing he hated

Immediately he changed course
Realizing revenge had no purpose.
To the one who hurt me the most
I will show you kindness and not boast

For my pain is in the past
And my love shall last.

This is a poem that was inspored by all the betrayals i have seen happen before. be it to me or to another person i know. it is just to tell people that no matter the betrayal or pain, there should always be room for forgiveness and we should do our best to find that space to forgive so as to not become the "monster" that hurts others because of their pain.
