Travels
I have a suitcase. In my suitcase are direction and hope and peace. There is a battered National Geographic Traveler magazine from 2012 which I love with all my heart. I am going to Tahiti and Samoa and Nagaland and Jojobaland. I will climb a windswept Scotland hill with doves on my shoulders. And I will scuba-drive in Peru and gape at Incan ruins. Aboard my fancy rich-people ship I will look at Antarctica, from the safety of my berth—glaciers and caves, mountains of hearts and stones. I will fill out my travel log and order more magazines and dream.

It didn't make it as a short story, but I think it works as a poem. :)
