Darling Lady

I smoke the night away with my darling girl
Her cheeks plush with a rose color
Her hair swinging like the blue dress apon her hips
I grab her hand to place into mine
Her hair sways in the smoke of the dance floor
All I see is her and them blue eyes
We drift across the wood floor
I speak of my love to you
My throat is locked up like a jail cell
Then I wake up to the sun
All the smoke and thoughts drift away
You’re too far for me to get to this time
