one with nature
the sun pierces bright
amongst the darkened clouds.
what warmth can be learned
between hearts that care
from the smiles we wear
as if the clouds were not there
at all?
you know, kid, things aren’t easy;
times are rough
and there is enough
violence and chaos and
anarchy yet to come.
why, then, do i find myself
a honey bee attracted to your nectar
longing to give back to a nature
that my ancestors destroyed
and my children will die within?
you know, kid, it ain’t so bad;
there are good moments to be had
and sometimes, very rarely,
do you feel like you’re a person.
do you feel like you’re a person?
have you found your role?
the world is a stage, my friend.
express your light,
become the sun piercing through
the darkened clouds
and become one with nature
and one with me.
you know, kid, i like you;
you’ve got that spark in your eye
an honest gait when you pass by
and a point of view, to my surprise,
that isn’t completely hopeless.
that’s just it, huh?
have you no hope?
is it that you’re a shell of a human,
harboring false optimism
that i wish i could have?
is it just me?
