Where I’m from

I am from iPhone 10 Max, from Apple Airpods, and my grey couch.

I am from the little red house across the purple and yellow bar and grill, across the grey and yellow street.

I am from a household that makes the hottest foods like soup when it is 100 degrees outside and a family who loves to dance but has no rhythm, from Fifi and Marti and Chris and Banana

I am from a family that ignores everyone just to be on their phones and who can’t get out of debt because they love to spend unnecessary money.

From not stealing and to always mind my business.

I am from a family of lukewarm Christians who read the bible and believe in God but don't go to church.

I'm from Santiago, a little town in the Dominican Republic, Who loves to eat mangoes in the morning and Sancocho in the afternoon.

From my drunk aunt dancing bachata in the middle of the enormous stage with her long red dress on Christmas eve to my mom filming everything at the party of my little cousins running around the Christmas tree, and my grandma yelling at them to stop. I am from a gold mine whose ones cost millions of dollars.
