Seemingly Endless Road
Daisy is walking to the end of the world.
In the darkest light
She walks through the road between two rows of seemingly lifeless trees
Without any emotion
She walks, walks, and walks
The road isn’t dark all the time
You can see a couple of fireflies flash by
Like companions for a few seconds
You may expect them to point out directions for her
But the road is endless and there is only one way
So Daisy keeps walking
There’s also wind breeze through her
Her eyelashes trembling
She does enjoy the breeze
So soft and soothing like she has sunk her face in the water
Daisy keeps walking not being able to see things ahead of her
And then she missed a step
She fell
Deep down
Light
She woke up on the road again but saw a source of light fading away
Something dragged her back
Lit by the light
The black trees had a touch of green
Daisy keeps walking
She falls
But her world is lit up every time
By the fading light
Like puzzles completing the pieces
She sees the trees in countless colors
And shapes of stones she has been stepping on
The world of her is not dead
And she is not alone

This poem is about being lost and gaining hope, which may fit the world's situation during the pandemic right now. With the quarantine, I often feel like I'm often walking alone in the endless dark. The "light" and "something" that brought color to your world can be so many things and will vary for everyone. I hope the poem can be healing in some way for my readers.
