There is a frog in my throat,

When I try to talk all I do is croak,

Wait, I am a frog,

I must be,

When I speak they just look at me,

Money please - any spare change?

But they just look at me in dismay,

Wait, I am I frog?

No eye contact,

All my belongings are racked and sacked,

Bashing me away with their hands,

The police come and banish me from my home land.

I am frog. I must be.

All their harsh words have metamorphosized me.

Hi I am Maria and this is my poem about Homelessness in England. In the small town I come from there is a large population of homeless people - Our government really do not seem to care. I want to spread awareness and humanise the unheard.
