The Walk To My Destruction
I leave a little piece of me behind every time you call out my name;
How much longer can I go on without crumbling to dust?
I’ve felt hollow for so long, I don’t remember being complete.
It’s too late to go back to poetry and stars;
making love and dancing under the sun.
The burning suns and melting moons,
I’ve seen it all, there’s nothing left for me here anymore.
I feel empty.
My footprints aren’t breadcrumbs for you to follow, please let me go.

This one is about feeling empty and how sometimes being with a certain someone makes you feel emptier. It's about begging them for that last chance to survive; to let you grasp the only hand of hope. This one is for all the hearts that have tried to glue themselves back together but failed only because someone else didn't let you finish, I hear you.
