Not to be mistaken for Chloe 

My name means life

I’m sure it's the name of a wife

Most kids were named 

And became ashamed 

Named after a famous actor 

I’d say that's an important factor

Not me though

I’ve learned to just go with the flow

Some people say it blows 

I think it glows

My parents named me after 

Something that gives them laughter 

A thing they cherish

That’ll never parish

They named me after something they live

The reason they give

My name means life

Something that's sharp like a knife 

Zoe was my parents’ first choice

It provided me with my own voice 

From all the joys

To all the toys 

They both liked my name 

They didn’t think it was lame 

Or at least that's what they claim

Although it gave me terrible aim 

I can’t complain 

Or say my name in vain

It's pretty plain

Hasn’t caused me any pain

My name is Greek

Personally I think it's chic 

I don't think it makes me weak

I'm sure some people say it reminds them of a freak

I like my name 

Its something I would frame 

Easy to tame 

It has a spark like a flame

My three letters are easy to handle 

It shines as bright as a candle 

Easy to remember

Especially throughout December

On July 27 my names on a cake 

Not one I make

A tradition that won’t break

One I’d gladly take 

Usually my name has a y 

Not something I’d ever try 

My name is as clear as the sky

Z-O-E without a y, not something I’d ever deny 

My cousins name is Chloe 

Sometimes it becomes a little showy

Our names get confused

But I guess it can be reused

My name is who I am

I’ve wrote it on every exam 

It’s in every dance program

On top of every diagram

Your name is what you make of it 

I think it fits 

Like a hat that was knit 

I think its lit 

My parents call me Zo

I can see why that's so
