The Cycle of Growth
First, there was a seed, and it followed a cycle.
As time went on,
it grew,
and spread joy into the warm, fresh, air.
It watched the other flowers grow up tall,
with their vibrant colors,
As well as scents, that drew in butterflies and bees,
buzzing around each flower.
It loved watching the bright sun with its radiant, powerful shine.
The seed grew into a sprout,
and it felt great pride at its new accomplishment.
Its happiness spread to others,
and a peaceful breeze came in return.
The other flowers took no notice,
for they had never experienced how strong winds got.
They still grew,
and the sprout stayed a sprout.
It patiently waited for the cycle to turn.
A chance to blossom into something wonderful.
Each day proved the flowers were perfect,
causing the sprout to become less and less proud,
to the point where they had forgotten who they were.
The outcome resulted with winds blowing strong,
and the trees started shaking.
Rain poured, leaving the sprout in more misery.
The sun shined every day, but the sprout had given up on watching.
Little did they know that the cycle had turned.
What had been a small sprout,
had turned into an incredible flower.
It felt the same.
And it wouldn’t have noticed,
until it peered down and saw a seed,
spreading its cheerfulness into the air,
as it did before.
And the cycle kept turning.
