The Food Chain
King henrys wives, a church’s pew, posey bouquets, a maiden of iron looms.
Pages and pages and pages of ink, crosses rotting through thick paper links,
a cotton field, a wire hanger, A nazis jacket, a warships anchor
Blood soaked bread, a dead soviets pendent, the hooked nose of a which, an angels decedent
We thank god, we thank god for how we’ve evolved,
for how we changed and ancient tortures been solved,
The British gave us surnames, telescopes, and bubble and squeak,
As well as other inedible garbage that gets stuck in your teeth,
Spain gave us gazpacho, torture, the Spanish inquisition,
Germany, the holocaust,
Russia, corrupt politicians, not to mention malnutrition,
The united states killed populations with gunpowder and modern religion,
At the top of the food chain, our nations civil and human and fair,
All with higher kill counts than any lion, great white shark, or black bear.
