Endless Shore
Walking under the crimson sunset
Sitting on your rough sand
You're cool to the touch
Salty to the lips
Mean with your waves
And plentiful with all of your beautiful creatures
I will never forget the first time my toes grazed your shore
The first time your salty wind raced through my ears
The time you sent one of your creatures to sting me
You are mysterious, in ways that make me want to find out more
As I lie there
Listening to you crashing up against the rocks I used to climb on
All I feel is your peace
Your serenity
Your absolute stillness
I look at you, and I see love and past memories
Held in the water slowly drifting away
I want to make more
I will always find peace within you, my beautiful, blue, endless shore.
