i do not want to leave you
in the way others have left me
i want to be to one you rely on
i need to be the person you trust
i want to be your light
i say I’ll never leave you,
and I truly never will
i could protect you from the evil
and then
i want to be yours
because we could be the ones
who light up the cold darkness
together
