Winter storm
May 12, 2021
The winter storm awoke me
As I opened my eyes
To look outside my window
The bare winter sky
Icicles hanging on tree branches
Grass as white as paper
Icy slippery roads
Cars covered in ice
Kids going out to play
Bundled up with layers of clothing
Attempting to building a snowman
And throwing snowballs at one another
As I glanced outside my window
Glaring at the sunrise
I saw all of the memories
A winter storm had to offer
