The Thread That Got Away
There's a thread you follow
you don't know where it leads to but it's
pulling you in. You're walking for what seems like hours
but you don’t stop following the thin piece of thread that somehow has a
power over you that you cannot explain
Keep walking
You think the thread will always be there so you save it for tomorrow
There is no thread tomorrow
You find a piece of yarn and you think it will make you forget
about the thread but it doesn't, it's the complete opposite of the thread
The thread is gone and you're shattered
But it was just a thin piece of thread, you can get it anywhere
Right?
Why do you want to get it again?
It's nothing but a piece of thread
A piece of thread that you
love.
And it left
So you want to put the pieces back together. Fix what you already broke the minute you took
advantage of the thread.
You might never find
that thread again but if you listen closely it might
be calling you again you just are ignoring the signs
Get your thread because you never know what might happen
if you don't.

I wrote this piece about my mom and dads relationship because it is on and off.
