I don’t know when i started hiding my report cards 

Maybe when passing was not good enough 

This year was the first time i got a lower then passing grade 

My heart stopped when i saw the cp in the online grade book

Though i didn’t do anything about it 

I focussed on the classes i enjoyed and were good at 

Sometimes..

Above and behold was the bare minimum 

If not it was unacceptable 

Gifts that you gave became a nuisance

You guys live like pigs was engraved in my mind 

But i have an amazing life 

So the darkness became my home and i poured my soul into its blankets
