Her Material Dream
Have you ever wanted something so bad,
But it was so far out of reach?
And it’s not a dream that’s impossible,
It’s material.
It's like missing someone who’s still in your life.
If they’re not there you have a memory..
If it’s impossible it’s a dream.
The knowledge that it can happen,
But it won’t.
And there’s nothing else you can do.
Letting go is a process.
You don’t want to give up on the what if.
The image won’t leave.
The want has turned into fiction,
A thing that will never happen.
You think you’ve let go,
But something spikes the thought
And a waterfall comes raging in,
Opposed to the used to be droplets.
It seems as if the dream won’t go away,
In fear that it’s the closest you’ll ever get.
There’s nothing left to do but wait
