Where Do They Go?
I wear a week's worth of clothes within a week,
It feels like I have twice the amount in my laundry basket.
Which means there's twice the amount of socks.
Twice the amount means I’m going to lose half of them.
Where do the socks even go?
Do they grow legs and walk away?
Did they get consumed by the laundry basket?
Do you think my mom took them?
People think I’m a lunatic,
They say there’s no way.
There’s no way that washer and dryer ate them.

You read this piece here today because of my amazing writing class. It's a writing class so of course, we write all of the time. We don't only write though we write amazing poetry. Poetry that will make you say wow or make you tear up a bit, maybe even laugh. The poem "Where Do They Go" was written by me with the inspiration of my writing class. This poem is supposed to make you wonder and hopefully laugh a little bit. I also made this poem in hopes people would try and write more about where do the socks go when you do laundry. I want to be their inspiration and that's why you're reading "Where Do They Go" today.
