The soft rain of April

Taps the cement;

Pitter,patter,

Pitter, patter.

I am just a dot

In my calm surrounding,

Just a small percentage

Of all the people on Earth.

The slow chirp of birds

And rustling of leaves,

Like the background of a film,

And the smell of morning dew

Filling my senses.

Damp hair

And cool skin,

From the falling of the evaporated water.

Soft thunder,

And looming grey clouds.

Serenity, as your feet patter on the ground.
