Have you ever felt that there needed to be more?

That it just can’t end but it already did?

Who could decide what should precede,

When only the one who created it knows for sure,

Making up fantasies can relieve it,

But never fix the hunger to know the rest,

If the war will be won,

If the hero saves the day,

If good prevails over evil,

If happily ever after will exist,

The cliffhanger holds you by the neck,

Not to suffocate but rather invoke something else,

Giving you the sensation that it will happen,

But it doesn’t,

At least not yet,

Not until the words are written or the lines are read,

Not until the world can see it

The author's comments:

I know it is common when you reach the end of a passage, chapter, or book and your stuck on a cliffhanger.  I absolutely hate them sometimes, so I put my conflictions into words to help blow some steam.
