Lies
I have been to jail
15 times and counting
Most recently it was because I stole
A brand new 100-inch tv I didn’t get caught until
They tracked the tv to my “house”
I live in a cheap tiny apartment alone
Save the dog that comes by when I am out
Of jail
I lie every chance I get
Everyone looks at me with the same look
Looks of disgust
Some form of hate or unlove
Telling me to keep my distance
No one wants me
Except for one person
Proud of my skills
Happy to see my good finds
Always had my back
Until he couldn’t
Until he was dead
I am quick on my feet
A genius pick-pocket
I did learn from the best
He stole everything he owned, everything
Including me
well, kind of
I am his daughter
