The Candle

The candle burns and waits for no man,

It burns and burns, while the wick runs wild,

The flame dances with the wick,

It pops and crackles to the beat of the flame,

The wax runs down and hardens once again,

The light emanated from the flame fills the room,

The shadows begin to dance with the flame,

The three have a merry time and dance the night away,

Until the sun starts to rise,

The wick gets shorter and shorter,

It knows the party is almost up,

First, the shadows take their leave,

Then the wax,

And then the flame,

Waiting all alone, the wick wishes to burn again, and party the night away.
